We are seeking a practice nurse to work up to 40 hours per week at the Brunswick Medical Centre.

You will ideally have the usual skills in areas such as Cytology, Wound Care, Immunisation and Chronic Disease Management working within a friendly nursing team and an HCA.

Bexley Urgent Care Vacancies

Are you an experienced Emergency/Urgent Care or Paediatric Nurse, committed to providing high quality evidence based care? We are recruiting to the Urgent Care Centres at Queen Mary’s (QMS) and Erith Hospital in Bexley.

We are looking to fill the following positions

  • Paediatric Streaming Nurses
  • Adult Streaming Nurses
  • Streaming Nurses that are Paediatric/Adult Trained or with relevant dual experience
  • Nurse Practitioners both Paediatric and Adult

You will have come from a background of Emergency /Urgent Care/Paediatric Nursing with at least 3 years experience in this environment and have the confidence/relevant experience to assess both adults and children. Ideally you will have completed some minor illness or injury training as a streamer, or be fully qualified as a Nurse Practitioner used to working at pace in a busy environment.

The Urgent Care Centres at QMS and Erith were formally established in 2014, and they deal with the initial assessment of all ambulatory adult/paediatric cases arriving at the Urgent Care Centre and their onward care. A multidisciplinary team staff the UCC, this comprises of General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Associate Specialists and Health Care Assistants.  QMS is open 24 hours every day and Erith is open 08.00hrs-22.00hrs every day.

Professional development is both supported and encouraged and there will also be an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of minor injuries under the guidance and mentorship of experienced Nurse Practitioners.

Nurses employed within the unit will benefit from the support of being part of a larger organisation, the Hurley Group, and will have the opportunity to interact with Nurses working on other sites.
