This exciting scheme gives doctors the opportunity to work across different ‘types’ of general practice – small, large, training practices, walk in centres or even minor injury units. Aside from the flexibility, there are a number of other benefits for those starting careers in general practice.

You can also work for us as a sessional GP via our own ‘Hurley Medical Bank’ – we offer competitive rates, fast weekly payments and online booking of sessions.

A general practitioner can join the group immediately after completing their Vocational Training and obtaining their CCST and MRCGP. All our practices benefit from the input of more experienced GPs and Senior Managers so that a newly-qualified GP will never feel unsupported.

Every GP has an annual review where they are offered advice and support in developing their skills and career path. Almost all of our GPs have a portfolio career with another area of interest such as GP or Medical Student Training, Medical Politics, GP with Special Interest (Gastroenterology, Palliative Care, Substance Misuse Dermatology, Gynaecology, Emergency Medicine), working for NICE, Occupational Health, working with the pharmaceutical industry and research.
